Meet Our Team of Mobile Vets
Mobile Veterinary Services of Ottawa provide all of the care for Treatwell Pet Care — A Canadian company created by Dr. Mike Mossop, a licensed veterinarian with over a decade of clinical experience in general practice and emergency medicine.
Dr. Mike Mossop

Mike is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. Before creating Treatwell, Dr. Mike served as the medical director of a small animal practice in Ottawa and worked as a veterinarian in both emergency and general practice. Mike created Treatwell to make preventive pet care easy and stress free for pet parents and their pets.
Dr. Amy Jewiss

Amy graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 2008 and has since taken her degree to practice on five different continents. After settling in Ottawa 10 years ago she obtained her acupuncture certification and loves using integrative medicine to allow pets more quality time with their pet parents.
Krysta Spour, Client Care Lead

Krysta has had a passion for animals her entire life. Her previous experience as a professional dog trainer and her continued involvement in the veterinary space allow her to make a positive impact with clients and patients every day. She has a particular interest in senior pets / palliative care, and a talent for supporting clients as they transition their pets to this stage of life.
Kelsey Rice, RVT

Kelsey is a graduate of Algonquin College’s Registered Veterinary Technician Program. She started out in emergency and ICU medicine, and has gained extensive experience working at various small animal practices throughout the Ottawa area. She has a special interest in feline medicine and small animal pain management, and loves having the opportunity to get to know both pets and their owners.
Rachel Sampaio, RVT

Rachel is originally from Brazil and came to Canada in 2017. She completed the pre-vet Program at UPEI and then graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Oulton College 2020. Since then she has gained great experience working in general practice and in specialty surgery. Rachel also brings experience in communication and marketing to Treatwell. When not working she loves watching movies (only the good ones), but not quite as much as she loves avocado smoothies!
Laura Puchacz, RVT

Laura graduated from the Algonquin College’s Registered Veterinary Technician Program in 2015. She has spent the past 7 years broadening her skills in both small animal and mixed animal practices. She is passionate about veterinary nutrition and has a keen interest in palliative care for our senior pets. She strives to create lasting relationships with all pet parents so that our furry friends can live their best lives!

Get Stress- and Fear-Free Care
All Treatwell vets are certified Fear Free veterinary care providers.
Fear Free veterinary care requires pet care professionals to be highly aware of a pet’s fear, anxiety, and stress, and use a combination of techniques to reduce these feelings whenever possible during pet care procedures.
Fear Free certification is issued by the Fear Free organization, which is dedicated to inspiring and educating pet care professionals to develop the techniques needed to look after a pet’s physical and emotional well-being.
