This Privacy Statement describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from or (the “Site”), as well as information collected by the Mobile Veterinary Services of Ottawa (the “Clinic”) while providing Veterinary Care.


Privacy of Personal Information is an important principle to the Site and Treatwell Pet Care. We are committed to collecting, using and disclosing personal information responsibly and only to the extent necessary for the services we provide. We also try to be open and transparent as to how we handle information.


We and the third parties We engage may combine the information We collect from You over time and across Our websites and Services with information obtained from other sources. This helps Us improve its overall accuracy and completeness, and also helps Us better tailor Our interactions with You.




“Agreement” means this Privacy Statement and Our Terms of Service


“Owner” means the person or persons to whom the Patient belongs.


“Patient” means any pet or animal that receives any services from Treatwell Pet Care or the Mobile Veterinary Services of Ottawa


“Platform” means Treatwell’s platform through which Treatwell Pet Care delivers Services.


“Personal Information” refers to any factual or subjective information, recorded or not, about an identifiable individual. This includes information in any form, which may include but is not limited to your first name, surname, contact information, or your pet’s health information.


“Services” refers to the services that We provide or arrange for through Our Site, including Our Site itself, all services furnished to Users, Patients, or Owners, including order processing, payment collection and processing, shipping and tracking, website hosting, and any other support services provided for Owners on behalf of Our Patients.


“Site” refers to Our website, and the Platform,


“User” refers to the Patient’s Owner, and general visitors to Treatwell’s Site.


“Veterinary Care” is 


“We”, “Us”, or “Our” refers to Treatwell Pet Care Inc. and Mobile Veterinary Services (“Treatwell”).


“You” or “Yours” refers to you, the individual User who is entering into this Agreement with Treatwell.



When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”


We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

  • “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, and/or register for veterinary services with Treatwell Pet Care we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number.  We refer to this information as “Order Information.” Treatwell uses the payment processor Stripe -- a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway -- to process all Your online payments. When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Statement, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.



We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you;

  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and

  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.


We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We may also use your Personal Information to help facilitate medical care for your pet. This may include, but is not limited to

  • Send out healthcare reminders

  • Make referrals to other veterinary clinics, veterinary specialists and/or laboratories

  • Verifying information with other veterinary, grooming or boarding facilities


Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request (such as police and/or animal cruelty investigations) for information we receive, or to otherwise protect Our rights.



Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.



When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.



We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
